Dana Church is a Founding Member and currently serves as the Chief Land Officer at O/G Trust Services, where he leads the firm’s land management team for mineral asset management engagements, consulting projects, and client onboarding. Dana holds the Certified Mineral Manager (CMM) designation through the National Association of Royalty Owners (NARO), and he has specialized credentials in both land management and fiduciary mineral services — a combination that is essential in the trust industry as it relates to effective mineral management.
With over 20 years of experience in oil and gas land work, Dana’s background spans title research, lease analysis, ownership verification, and the complex land-related issues that arise when institutional fiduciaries accept or administer mineral interests. His work at OGTS directly supports clients navigating situations that many trust departments are not equipped to handle internally.
Dana was a co-host of OGTS’s NARO podcast on mineral asset generational planning, where he shared practical guidance on documenting mineral records, structuring ownership for heirs, and conducting the kind of annual reviews that protect both fiduciaries and their beneficiaries. He is also an instructor for Cannon Financial Institute, and he is a recognized resource in the trust and mineral management communities for his ability to translate complex land and title issues into clear, actionable guidance for trust professionals.
